Gates to our Garden of Love

Hello all and a very friendly and warm welcome to you .
Today I have a card I am sharing with you created for Maja Design
I love to create keepsakes for very important milestones and celebrations .
I created a card with the FIKA collection to record our wedding anniversary .

ANNIVERSARY CARD
The gates on the front cover represent the gates to the garden of our life and love .

I aged the chipboard gates with crackle paint to represent the aging and passing of time .

These are some of my notes inside the card.
January 24th Our special day today .....
44 years ago today was our wedding day in 1970 ...
Today we are celebrating our wonderful life together .
We have learned to enjoy it all ... our Love, our precious family, our challenges , our tough times, our fun times, our not so glamorous times, all the music festivals and concerts, glorious memories, learning to keep moving forward no matter what .So many memories !
Thankyou my darling Baden for your amazing deep love you show me every day , even when I am not so "nice", sometimes.
Thanks for your beautiful hugz and warmth.
Thanks for being you, we are connected in such an amazing way , 'we are soul mates', forever in my heart xoxox
"I remember what Michael Rice (Marks oncologist )said to us when our beautiful son was dealing with cancer at age 14 ... I see many couples here in the 'Adelaide Childrens hospital ', and you have one of the strongest foundations of love I have ever seen . You will get through this journey with great strength , courage and love .. I have always remembered those words .. "
thanks for all the years of love Bades xox

I made a little pocket inside to hold tags with notes to myself ,  details and dates

I purposely used these deep purple/indigo/ Violet colors. I have studied color and the chakras ..
the energy centres of the human body.
Indigo is the color of the sixth energy centre - your third eye chakra.
It is the color that opens the consciousness and brings awareness to higher planes
and connects us with the spiritual world.
Violet is the color of the crown chakra and it is the color of cosmic awareness and cosmic consciousness.
It is a unifying color, the color of oneness and spirituality.
The energy of this color is very healing and can soothe away pain.
This may sound a bit corny, but it really was LOVE at FIRST sight with us ….
Our connection was immediate .

Love is all that matters, Love is everything,
it is the sharing of songs and the silences and the holding of memories, only the heart can see .
In nothing are we as rich as in our memories of LOVE.
For they are ours alone and tell our story..
LOVE'S music  may be different to each of us but oh, how beautiful the dance.
Thank you for all the beautiful years we have spent together and all the years ahead  xoxo

DUSTY ATTIC - Going GRUNGE in May

Hello and welcome all my friendly scrappers.
today I am sharing my May project for
Dusty Attic, the home of beautiful chipboard, color and blooms
CLICK HERE to go to Dusty Attic blog
I decided to create quite a simple layout this month and allow the chipboard to dominate

'POST CARD'
Baden and I  have been on lots of road trips
and one of our very fave places to explore is the Great Ocean Road
along the Victorian coast, with the magnificent Southern Ocean waves
 pounding the rugged limestone cliffs.
This photograph was taken in the Ottway Ranges .
One of the many rainforest walks we have explored .
the tree ferns and undergrowth are breathtaking , so lush and dreamy.
I chose kraft paper to represents the earthy tones in the trees, branches and ground.
I added some random stamping on my background to create movement .
I wanted to mimic the colors and give a lush feel to the chippies.
I applied rusty hinge first then added some
Dusty in color Capri : DA0915
Dusty in color soot: DA0925
I layered them and then applied some crackle varnish .
This doubles as a finish and also keeps them together easily.
The film strip and the numbers echo the thousands of  photos
I have taken over our many years of travelling.

DUSTY ATTIC CHIPBOARD
Dusty in Colour Clear Crackle Varnish : DA 0900
Dusty in color Capri : DA0915
Dusty in color soot: DA0925
Filmstrips small: DA0935
Mini Number grid : DA1073
Lavender : DA1001

I layered the chippies in a cluster and tied them with wedding wire and string.
I am really happy with the colors and varnish crackle effect .

thanks for looking and taking the time to leave me some love
until we meet again
take care and happy scrapping xox

I am so pleased you are here .
another Maja Design project for May
CLICK HERE for Maja Design blog
Today I am sharing a layout featuring the beautiful pastel pink and pale grey from
the Vintage Spring Basics Collection .
I allowed the papers to flow and blend with lots of layered tags and leaves,
which embrace  the pinks in the photo and  compliment
the pastel hues in the papers.
BEAUTIFUL
I created a design on my background with a mask and moulding paste , with some random stamping.
One of the papers in the the beautiful Crea Diem paper collection feature these magnificent clocks.
  Crea Diem…Den Oersattliga Tiden..
I love to use clocks in my work as they symbolise time and scrapbooking is like a diary,
keeping memories and photos as treasures.
I fussy cut some of these delightful flowers, so delicate and beautiful .
These little  blossoms are cut from the Vintage Spring Basics collection .. 1st May

The title Beautiful speaks about many things on this layout. The photo, the papers, the layering , the masking, the stitching , vintage brads and distressed edges revealing the underside paper  …
all parts and pieces that make up this creation of mine.
Maja Design Collection s used …. Vintage Spring Basics ….2nd May, 3rd may, 4th May, 5th may , 7th May, Vintage Summer Basics.. 1932, Criea Diem…Den Oersattliga Tiden..  Thanks for dropping by and take care until next time we meet …

CSI has another case to solve
love these colors and the gorgeous sketch by Em Staface

TABLE ELEGANCE

This is my interpretation of Em's Sketch ..
thanks for the fabulous sketch Em x
I love working with banners.
as you can see I only used a snippett of the orange and allowed
the greens, white to dominate.

EVIDENCE
flowers. metal, cursive font, circles, labels, tags, sprig.
TESTIMONY
used inspiration words - Setting and Elegance.
one of my passions is spending time setting a table .
I love to create casual ,
and other times I bring out the silver and create elegance.
I always use blooms. Some are from my garden
and others I purchase from a florist nearby.
To me there is something quite beautiful,
sitting at a dressed up table,
with gourmet food and sharing this wonder with family and friends xoxo
