GUEST DESIGNING DELIGHT

I am both honoured and excited to be guest designing for 2Crafty this month
 showcasing the beautiful chipboard.
Thanks so much Vanessa and Di for inviting me.

'DELIGHT'

I adore my garden and I delight in seeing  pink and white velvet blooms
growing with great joy and abundance.
green and pink are such beautiful complimentary colors and to me
they unlock the energy to the magic of nature..

 The decorative border Ariels Spray
The brad adds some bling and also attaches the chipboard to my page.

I tucked the end section of the chippie into the stacked hearts
creating a union of elements .

My approach to this layout .
Chipboard is just perfect for cutting sections and placing them on your work .
I trimmed one piece of the  Parisian Border and placed it on the top of my photo,
alongside a diecut. (Pictured above)
I used  Versa color ink to add color to both pieces of chipboard .
I wanted the beautiful Ariels Spray to feature strongly  on my page,
therefore I used a bright green ink to showcase the exquisite  flowing shape of this piece.
In my opinion it compliments the photo perfectly..

'DELICATE'

THESE POTTED BEAUTIES
are quite delicate and require a great deal of love and attention.
I applied Lots of Tim Holtz crackle paint and ink on the chippies
creating a weathered feel and look to my page .

I adore the effect of crackle paint and ink .

as most of you know I have a passion for my garden and I thought I would grunge up this chippy door
to represent how old potting shed doors often end up
weathered and beautiful x

GUEST DESIGNING at OUAS and case file #157 ready to solve .

Hello there, today I am showcasing our beautiful new  Paper collection from

This month there is a delightful  ‘twist’ as we are joining in with ‘Once Upon a sketch.’
A challenge site with sketches and is all about journaling the journey of life.

I am loving the softness and colors of this new range and thoroughly loved working with them .
This layout is based on a divine sketch created by Nadia Cannizzo, the founder of OUAS.
My page came together so quickly and is deceivingly very simple .

HERE is what Nadia had to say
WELCOME to February's challenge. We have some FANTASTIC inspiration for you this month. The super cool Design Team from our main sponsor this month, Meg's Garden, has played along with our challenge and what wonderful examples they have created. Thank you girls and thank you Meg's Garden for being our sponsor!!
The month of February is the month we celebrate St Valentine's Day here in Australia and in many parts of the world. Love takes on many forms..relationship love, parental love etc etc. So let's think about what the above quote can mean and how you can interpret it on a layout. You are free to scrap about any kind of love you wish however you like based on the following sketch.

My take on the SKETCH

' LOVE '

MY PROCESS
I created the splashes of ink with Tim Holtz shabby shutters stain.
Layered over with the black Inked the Kaiser stamp
Cut the circle ( this can be done by tracing around a plate )
Mount the photo, add file labels around edge .
Place inked chipboard under top right corner of photo
Proceed by adding  a border of flower clusters/ rosette and hearts framing the photo .

I used the delightful Buds of May paper for the circle and the stacked hearts.
The diecut file labels, honeycomb shapes  and leaves are created by using a combination of both A summers day and Buds of May.
The two strips at the bottom of the page are random left over pieces .
These collections are perfect for mixing and matching .
