"Come walk with me in my garden"

for all you garden lovers out there come walk with me :)
I am passionate about my garden .....
I SPEND MANY HOURS EACH WEEK TENDING TO MY GARDEN... I love everything about nature and for me there is nothing quite like sitting out in the garden on a beautiful spring day, with a good book, a steaming cup of coffee, and a muffin...
(gotta have the muffin!!)

soooo relaxing and peaceful!!!!
I love soaking up all the sounds of nature and watching the garden gilded by the afternoon sun, taking on a radiance all of it's own ....

thought I'd post some early morning shots of our "garden room "where we often have "a lazy sunday morning brekkie"

this space is like an extra room where we have family gatherings and aussie "barbies" with friends and generally is our entertaing area....

we have a large table in the middle of this area so there have been many "scrapdays" here with my scrappy friends !!!!
FUN, LAUGHTER, FOOD, WINE & A LITTLE SCRAPPIN' LOL ha! ha!

my ferns thrive here .....they love it and are very happy !!

one of my fave spots at the bottom of my garden .."little shy girl"

PEACE

hope you have enjoyed walking through my garden with me..
I will post some more photos next year..

much love, peace and happiness to you all for xmas and in 2011.

"SHABBY CHIC"

I had some beautiful little GRAPHIC 45 paper flowers in my stash and today I decided to create a page using them together with chipboard embellies and a photo I had already printed on to cardstock ....

looking at it now I do think I could have edged the Heidi Swapp clock with some creme paint to make it pop .. but hey it's a bit late now .. LOL

I feel they all worked well together though .. ?? do you agree ??

thanks for droppin' by and having a look

MORE "SIMPLE" DESIGNS TO SHARE

SOMETIMES I LIKE TO CREATE SOME VERY BASIC AND SIMPLE DESIGNS AND ALLOW THE PHOTO TO DOMINATE.

love these shots of Mark when he was a toddler... soooo cute.
he was such a blondie when he was little...... gorgeous memories ... xoxox
scrapbooking is such a marvellous tool for recording history for future generations to enjoy and learn about times past.
LOVE IT !!!!!
boys pages are always more difficult for me to create so this time I decided to add some FLORAL paper ..what do you think ????
I lovvvveeee using black and white shots they allow me to use ANY colour scheme....

stamps and rub-ons are such a great addition to a page... quick and easy .. !!

thanks for droppin' by gals
have a great day ... enjoy

TEXTILE SAMPLES

Hi everybody ... thought I would post a few of my textile samples.
this has been my first year at college learning about TEXTILES ...
this final unit has been APPLIQUE.....
which I have really loved!!
we have learned 6 different techniques to apply designs to fabric...
below are a few..

I chose a flower theme.
this pink, purple number is using the "FUSED" technique.

red, black and white has been just "A LITTLE BIT ADDICTIVE" with me ..
this flower is reverse applique..
TECHNIQUE ....placing 3 or 4 layers of different fabric together and stitching a design on the back then cutting into the fabric from the front, to expose different colours...
the 3D effect does not show up very well in the pics. oh well !!??

the next two samples are using the "FUSED TECHNIQUE"

my little graphic number ... love this one .. my favourite:)

I have combined some of my scrapbooking style with these techniques
hope you enjoyed looking
thanks for droppin'by
